Job Description
You’ll be joining a team that delivers high-quality U.S. e-commerce data. With over 16 years of experience, we know our craft, but we’re always evolving. In this role, you’ll use your analytical skills to make sure our clients get accurate, reliable data. You’ll also get hands-on experience with our proprietary technology (and have a mentor to guide you). Plus, you’ll have the chance to help us push forward with new initiatives and improvements. If you enjoy solving puzzles, you’ll fit right in — logical and analytical thinking will help you tackle complex tasks, spot patterns and uncover insights. You’ll be learning constantly, so curiosity and a sense of ownership will be key to your success.
What You’ll Be Doing
Data Extraction
Build data extractors to parse e-receipts using NielsenIQ’s proprietary markup language and RegEx.
Debug and fine-tune templates to make sure they’re accurate, then validate your work with SQL and BI tools.
Keep documentation clear and communicate effectively with tech teams and client-facing teams.
Adapt extraction logic as data formats and business needs change.
Stay up-to-date with our internal processes and tools.
Data Quality & Analysis
Run thorough checks to ensure data is complete, consistent and is parsed correctly.
Investigate any anomalies specific to U.S. retail data.
Write and optimize SQL queries and Databricks notebooks for large-scale analysis.
Create reports for client-facing teams.
Process Improvement
Spot opportunities for automation and help improve our processes and tools.
Lead or support strategic projects, like UATs, new processes onboarding, etc.
Work closely with developers, analysts and client-facing teams to design solutions together.
Keep operational and project documentation up to date.
What We’re Looking For
1–2 years of experience in data operations, analytics or tech-related roles.
Solid SQL skills — you should be comfortable with joins, subqueries and CTEs.
A logical, analytical mindset to tackle complex tasks and spot patterns in data.
Great communication skills and attention to detail (crucial when working with data that people rely on to make decisions).
Fluency in English.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of e-commerce data and industry trends.
Exposure to BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Familiarity with analytical platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
Previous experience in QA or data validation.
Experience working in agile environments and understanding basic software development processes.
As a team member, you will have access to:
Flexible work hours and remote work
20 business days of paid vacation
Flexible days off
Maternity/Paternity leaves
Medical insurance (after probation)
Professional and career development.
Freedom of creativity and initiative. As Grace Hopper said, “It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than to get permission”. We infinitely value aspiration and initiative. Most of our technologies, processes, and departments appeared precisely because of those.
