We are looking for an experienced AI Software Engineer to join our engineering team and build modern AI-powered products for the US market.
This role is designed for engineers who see AI as an essential part of software engineering rather than just another tool. We are looking for people who actively use AI in their daily workflow, enjoy solving complex product challenges, and are comfortable working across different backend technologies when needed.
Most of our current projects are built with Node.js, but depending on the product, you may also work with Python, Java or .NET. We don’t hire engineers for a single programming language — we hire engineers who can choose the right technology for the problem and continuously adapt as products evolve.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Build scalable backend systems and AI-powered software products for US startups and enterprise clients.
Design and implement AI-powered product features using modern LLM technologies where appropriate.
Develop backend services using Node.js or other backend technologies depending on project requirements.
Integrate AI services, external APIs and cloud platforms.
Apply AI-assisted engineering practices throughout development, testing, debugging and documentation.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
Work closely with product managers, designers and US-based clients throughout the entire product lifecycle.
What We Are Looking for:
Software Engineerng:
5+ years of commercial backend development experience.
Strong commercial experience with at least one backend technology:
Node.js
Java
.NET
Python
Solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
Experience building scalable APIs and backend services.
Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
AI Experience — nice to have:
Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or similar APIs;
Experience with MCP;
Experience with AI agents;
RAG;
Vector databases;
LangGraph / LangChain;
Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Soft skills & communication:
Strong communication skills with a pragmatic, direct, and time-efficient approach.
Focus on real tasks, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
Ability to ask precise questions and provide concise, actionable updates.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment, with shifting priorities and evolving requirements.
