How you’ll make an impact:
Optimize the performance of high-load transactional systems built on Microsoft SQL Server;
Analyze execution plans, statistics, locking, and blocking to find the root causes of performance issues;
Design and implement indexes, and monitor their impact on system performance;
Implement solutions that improve system stability and reliability;
Write, review, and optimize complex T-SQL code (queries, stored procedures, functions);
Administer and support SQL Server environments on AWS (RDS and/or EC2);
Design, configure, and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, Multi-AZ);
Build and support data integrations using SSIS, ETL/ELT processes, and APIs;
Communicate with the team and stakeholders in English, explain technical findings, and propose optimization solutions.
What makes you a great fit:
5+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA;
Proven performance-tuning experience on high-load transactional systems;
Deep knowledge of indexing, execution plans, statistics, locking, and isolation levels;
Strong T-SQL skills;
Experience with SQL Server on AWS (RDS and/or EC2);
Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (Always On, Multi-AZ);
Experience with integrations: SSIS, ETL/ELT, APIs;
Upper-Intermediate (B2) English or higher.
