OpenMinds is a defence technology company operating at the frontier of cognitive defence and strategic intelligence. Founded in Ukraine at the outset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, born out of urgency and battlefield experience, we’ve since scaled to the UK and globally, while still staying close to the operational reality of the fight we’re built for.
We deliver end-to-end capability across information environment assessment, audience research, synthetic testing, operational simulation, and campaign dissemination. We support 5 NATO-member state governments and 20+ defence primes worldwide.
Our platforms were developed and validated under active warfare conditions across 600+ missions. In June 2026, OpenMinds placed 2nd of 93 companies in the NATO Innovation Challenge on Cognitive Warfare.

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer (React + Python) to focus on a few products across message delivery, audience simulation, analytics, and data collection. You’ll deliver backend services, UI interfaces, and data pipelines. We work AI-first, so you’ll use coding agents daily and build LLM capability into the products themselves.
In the position you will:
Build features across our products, covering backend, frontend, and infrastructure
Pick up unfamiliar codebases and domains quickly, using AI to close the gap
Ship LLM features into the products: retrieval, agents, tool calling, and structured outputs
Build evaluation sets that show whether each change is an improvement
Use Claude Code and other coding agents daily, staying accountable for everything you merge
Add guardrails against prompt injection, unsafe tool use, and data leakage
Run what you build: latency, cost per request, tracing, and alerting
Maintain secure GCP infrastructure and keep services deployable on-premise
We are a perfect match if you have:
5+ years of hands-on full-stack development with ReactJS (TypeScript) and FastAPI/Flask (Python)
Strong grasp of OOP, design patterns, RESTful APIs, database design, and cloud infrastructure (GCP is preferred)
Experience in DevOps (Docker/k8s, IaC, CI/CD)
Daily use of coding agents (Claude Code, Codex)
Experience building eval sets and measuring whether a change improved anything
A track record of picking up an unfamiliar domain or stack and shipping in it
English B2+
Nice to have: LLM features shipped to production — retrieval, agents, tool calling, structured outputs, and guardrails
