ORIL is looking for a skilled and proactive Middle+ Full-Stack Engineer with DevOps skills to join our team. This is a hybrid role that combines active participation in core product development with reliable, structured on-call support for a business-critical aviation operations system.
The ideal candidate will spend part of their time driving features and technical improvements on the project, while also ensuring production reliability and incident response during designated evening hours.
What are we looking for?
3.5+ years of commercial experience building and maintaining production systems.
Strong Node.js / NestJS backend development skills.
Experience with Angular frontend development.
Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines or similar).
Understanding of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
Experience in supporting production systems, handling live incidents, and root-cause analysis.
Ability to debug and solve problems under pressure across code, databases, and integrations.
Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) for clear communication with international teams.
Nice to have:
Experience with high-availability or mission-critical systems.
Familiarity with WebSockets or real-time application development.
Experience in SRE principles or production support roles.
What will you do?
Product Development:
Contribute to the core codebase by developing new features and improving existing functionality (Node.js/Angular) to stay closely aligned with the project’s architecture.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system optimization.
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure high code quality and smooth deployment processes.
Production Support & Reliability:
Provide on-call support for production incidents, including emergency fixes, during scheduled evening hours.
Investigate and resolve critical issues affecting system stability (frontend, backend, database, infrastructure, and integrations).
Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and implement mitigation actions.
Support deployments and infrastructure troubleshooting.
Document incidents and solutions to improve overall system reliability.
Engagement Model
Dual Engagement: Combined model including dedicated hours for core product development and scheduled evening on-call availability.
On-Call Availability: Weekdays from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM EET, plus weekend and holiday coverage for critical incidents.
Compensation: Monthly retainer for availability + hourly compensation for actual development and incident resolution work.
Duration: Project-based engagement starting with 4 months (with a strong possibility of extension).
